You’re in control with Magic Assistants! Below you will find our standard cleaning checklist when caring for a residence, otherwise known as a standard cleaning. As each home is different and requires different needs based on your requests or desires, all checklist’s can be customized to satisfy your needs. Services are adjustable and additional services can be added or subtracted to coincide with your expectations.

Feel free to create your own checklist or “love note” as we like to call them, and we’ll get right to work following your directions.

How It Works?

Residential cleaning services are typically booked in teams of 2 unless the home is larger and requires a larger team or unless we are accommodating a larger schedule. We understand your home is as unique as you are and while your square footage may match your neighbor’s square footage the time it takes to clean each home can vastly differ. All appointments are based on time spent in the home or the amount of time you booked; versus per room or square footage. This way your only paying for the time it takes to clean your home or the amount of time you scheduled for your appointment.

We provide one-time cleaning appointments, recurring appointments or as-needed appointments for your convenience. Recurring appointments can be as frequent or as infrequent as you prefer and you’re never locked into a contract. All of our work is guaranteed; if for any reason you are not pleased with your services, we will make all reasonable efforts to correct those concerns or oversights. Please contact us within 24 hours and we will be happy to assist in a suitable resolution.

BATHROOMS:

  • Sink thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and rinsed.

  • Tub and or Shower cleaned, disinfected and rinsed.

  • Fixture cleaned and buffed.

  • Toilets disinfected inside & out including base and behind.

  • Vanity top/counter cleaned (more time may be required if items need to be removed/replaced).

  • Towels straightened.

  • Mirrors cleaned.

  • Windowsills/Door-frames dusted.

  • Waste baskets emptied.

  • Baseboards dusted or wiped.

  • Floors vacuumed or swept, and mopped.

LIVING AREAS:

  • All surface areas within reach including ceilings dusted (top, sides, and fronts).

  • Cob-web patrol.

  • Cushions, pillows, and throw blankets fluffed and straightened.

  • Carpeted floors vacuumed.

  • Hardwood/tiled floors vacuumed or swept and mopped (steam mop available with advance notice for tile and
    linoleum flooring).

  • Baseboards dusted

  • Windowsills/door-frames dusted

  • Glass tables and mirrors cleaned

  • Picture frames dusted (excessive picture frames may require additional time/charges)

  • Ceiling fans dusted (if reachable via extendable dusting pole)

  • Lampshades dusted

KITCHENS:

  • Counter-tops & Back-splash cleaned (all items removed/replaced).

  • Cabinet fronts spot checked (full outside cabinetry cleaning/polishing requires additional time).

  • Sinks scrubbed/disinfected and polished.

  • Small appliances wiped down (toaster, coffee pot, blenders, etc).

  • Floors vacuumed or swept, and mopped.

  • Table and chairs washed/polished.

  • Exterior of appliances (oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove-top, hood range) polished.

  • Additional charges/time applies for inside of appliances.

  • Windowsills/Door-frames dusted.

  • Baseboards dusted.

  • Waste baskets emptied.

  • Dishes hand washed (please set up procedure with your team member)

BEDROOMS:

  • Beds made (if desired) and or linens changed (if left out).

  • All surface areas within reach including ceilings dusted (top, sides, and fronts).

  • Picture frames dusted (excessive picture frames may require additional time/charges.

  • Mirrors cleaned.

  • Windowsills/Door-frames & Lamp Shades dusted.

  • Blinds dusted or wiped (if needed)

  • Baseboards dusted

  • Waste baskets emptied

  • Floors vacuumed or swept, and mopped

  • How many people will come to clean my house?

    Residential cleaning services are typically booked in teams of 2 unless the home is larger and requires a larger team.

  • Do I have to be present for a cleaning?

    No not at all, most of our clients are at work for the day and we keep a key to their home locked away in our lock box at the shop. All keys are coded with a number and never any personal information such as names, addresses or phone numbers.

    Although we do highly recommend someone to be home for the first visit, this way we can introduce ourselves and be walked around to learn the lay-of-the-land and have a better understanding of your preferences likes and dislikes.

  • How long will it take to clean my house?

    All services are customized to your specific needs. The time it will take to clean your house will be dependent on your selected level of cleaning and your home’s criteria.

  • Does the same team come to home at every visit?

    While we certainly try our hardest to send in the exact same team at every visit, unfortunately, is not always possible.  Each visit will have at least one of your team members and your client notes are also heavily detailed so that your team members arriving know exactly what your likes, dislikes, or special requests are.

  • Are you insured and bonded?

    Absolutely, yes! Magic Assistants carries all of the required insurances (liability, disability, workers comp) and is bonded.
