Meats – should be placed in containers and placed on the bottom shelves of refrigerators. In case of any accidental juices that might escape it won’t contaminate other foods.
Fruits and Eggs should be stored on the middle shelf it puts healthy snaking front and center so you’ll know right away if anything is starting to go bad. Eggs are also best placed on the middle rack, doors are one of the warmest parts of a refrigerator and best suited for least perishable items.
Leftovers should be stored in plastic containers utilizing labels with the date and its contents. This solves the ever asking questions of “what is it” and “how old is this”
